Export/Import Backup File - Incorrect JSON format

I am using the Export Backup File feature to move my Supatabs from Brave Beta to Brave Stable browser.
When I select the json file to import into Brave Stable it gives me the error "Incorrect JSON format".
I tried exporting/importing multiple times. Ive closeed and reopened both browsers each and tried restarting my Macbook.
If I use the "List of Links" feature to copy paste into the new browser it imports them in reverse order and without the group names
On version 0.17.0 for both browsers

This seems to be broken for a while now, please fix, makes local import export so painful, all groups are lost if we do only links based import.
Did anyone find a workaround for this issue?

Actually found an easy fix, export in both browsers diff the jsons, in my case, I noticed one of them had an additional property called "defaultWorkspace" which was missing in other one, added it with same GUID value and boom, it worked! Good luck!

same, is any way to fix it? currently not able to restore my old tabs after changing to new machine. Exported from Chrome and import to Chrome

Exporting and then importing on the same browser is broken itself as long as it is supatabs backup file. The exported file looks solid, but import is broken.
